REACH Medical Holdings seeks a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support Emergency Services air medical missions. In this safety-first role, you will operate helicopters for emergency and interfacility transports, ensuring safe, efficient flights in diverse conditions. You will collaborate closely with flight nurses, paramedics, and communications staff to enable rapid response and high-quality patient care. Operate helicopters for emergency and interfacility medical transports with strict adherence to safety protocols
Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks and documentation
Evaluate weather, terrain, and operational risks to make go/no-go decisions
Coordinate with medical crew and communications center for safe, timely responses
Maintain compliance with FAA, company, and EMS aviation regulations and policies
Participate in ongoing safety, SIM, and training programs to sustain proficiency
Support a safety-first, just-culture environment and effective crew communication
Perform accurate flight planning, weight-and-balance, and fuel management
Assist in base operations, aircraft cleanliness, and readiness
Respond to after-hours or on-call emergency missions as scheduled
Helicopter flight operations
IFR and VFR navigation
Emergency and off-airport landings
Risk assessment and aeronautical decision-making
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Helicopter EMS (HEMS/HAA) procedures
Weather interpretation and flight planning
Weight and balance and performance calculations
Radio communication and airspace coordination

Instrument Rating – Helicopter
Current Class II (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Night and IFR flight experience
NVG (Night Vision Goggle) experience preferred
Part 135 operational experience preferred
CRM (Crew Resource Management) training
Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) experience preferred
EMS aviation safety training
