Description
Med-Trans Corporation seeks a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support emergency air medical transport for critically ill and injured patients. In this role, you will execute safe, efficient VFR/IFR flight operations, coordinate closely with medical crews and dispatch, and adhere to strict safety and regulatory standards. You’ll operate advanced aircraft and avionics, conduct thorough preflight and postflight checks, and make sound aeronautical decisions under time-critical conditions. Med-Trans offers a safety-first, mission-driven culture with robust training, professional growth, and the opportunity to impact patient outcomes across diverse communities.Conduct safe VFR/IFR helicopter operations for emergency medical transport
Perform preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections and documentation
Assess weather, terrain, and mission risk; make go/no-go decisions
Operate advanced avionics, navigation, and communication systems
Coordinate with medical crew, dispatch, and ground agencies for mission planning
Adhere to FAA regulations, company SOPs, and safety management systems
Participate in safety briefings, training, and continuous improvement programs
Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records
Support base readiness, including aircraft cleanliness and basic ground handling
Represent Med-Trans professionally with partner hospitals, EMS, and the public
Helicopter flight operations (VFR/IFR)
Aeronautical decision making (ADM) and risk management
Advanced avionics and navigation systems
Instrument flight procedures
Night and NVG operations
Weather assessment and flight planning
Radio communications with ATC and EMS partners
Emergency and abnormal procedures
SMS and safety/regulatory compliance
Crew resource management (CRM)

Instrument Helicopter (IFR) Rating
Current Class I or II FAA Medical Certificate

CFI/CFII Rotorcraft a plus
EMS or public safety aviation background preferred
