Manage the investigation and utilization of complex engineering and mathematical principles to develop core technologies in bioinformatics, computer vision, image and video analysis.
Analyze and determine system standards and test procedures.
Review invention disclosures for developed algorithms and works with patent attorneys to secure intellectual property.
Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to engineers.
Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operation(s).
Ph.D. Degree in Life Science areas, Biomedical/Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Must have 5 to 10 years of related engineering experience including supervision of various engineering functions.
Strong knowledge in system biology, proteomics, genomics, or single cell analysis.
Working knowledge of fundamentals in computer vision and image/video analysis, including Deep Learning.
Must be self-motivated and creative, with proven analytical skills, excellent research record, and ability to communicate effectively
Flexibility and adaptability to work and collaborate with researchers and managers in global locations.
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally if required
All Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA
Strong theoretical and practical background in Computer Vision, Image and Video analysis, specifically Object Detection, Tracking, Segmentation, Optical Flow, Optimization, Generative Models, Biological Imaging are strong plus
Proven ability to lead new technical research and development development is a strong plus
Excellent programming skills in Python/Matlab and C/C++ is a strong plus
Solid knowledge on Deep Learning frameworks such as Caffe, Torch/PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet, or NNabla is a strong plus
