Job Description

CTSI is looking for a full-time NYC Professional Engineer or Architect for our Special Inspections Director opening. This position will assume technical and management duties of an ongoing full scope Special Inspections Department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assume full responsibility for filing, technical reporting and inspections
  • Review project scope and documents related to providing technical support for new and ongoing projects for budget and project controls
  • Maintain detailed schedules
  • Maintaining QAQC controls for all operations
  • Sign on / Sign Off, TR-1 filings with the DOB
  • Provide support and Conduct inspections as needed
  • Ability to oversee inspection services for large and small scale construction projects in New York City
  • Address client and contractor questions related to construction means and methods
  • Maintain oversight and development of staff qualifications and performance along with verifying technical reporting in the inspection process

Qualifications:

  • Licensed professional: New York State Professional Engineer or Registered Architect
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Familiarity with NYC Building Code
  • Fully qualified in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • OSHA 10- Hour qualification
  • Knowledge or certification with, ACI, ASTM, AISC etc.
  • Diversified Experience in design, construction and inspection

ICC Sprayed Applied Fireproofing Special Inspection

ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspection

ICC Commercial Mechanical Inspection
