Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities within the site.
Partners with all site teams to ensure collaborative efforts at securing machine and engineering success.
Serves as the engineering leader and technical expert for all manufacturing process at the site (Plant Support as well as strategic improvements).
Develops and implements policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
Coordinates and directs projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Analyzes technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
Assists with troubleshooting of production processes and plant equipment resulting in recommendations for corrections and/or modifications.
Plans projects and identify staffing, equipment, facility, funding, schedules, benefits, and product costs in an overall project master plan and present to management.
Provides guidance and leadership to subordinate engineers.
Establishes and maintains an efficient organization through staffing with qualified personnel equipped to achieve the business objectives by planning and directing the activities of the group and staying within the budgetary constraints.

Must have hands-on experience in chemical/formulations manufacturing environment.
Strong Leadership experience with tactical as well as strategic engineering functional role.
Proven project management experience within process engineering.
Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team.
Must possess interpersonal skills to tactfully resolve and implement changes as they occur.
Requires in-depth knowledge of theories and practices within at least one professional field or recognized body of knowledge and a working knowledge of the principles and practices of other diverse professional fields. (Chemical, Mechanical Electrical/Controls)
Should also have extensive exposure to FDA and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance. Previous experience with Validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Requires an Engineering oriented BS degree Chemical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Control Systems Engineering. An advanced technical degree preferred.
LSS, Six Sigma certification from an accredited institution.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in an Engineering setting, high-speed automation, manufacturing or other Operations environment with at least eight (8) years in increasing management responsibilities of technical personnel.
