The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Program in the Biomedical and Chemical Engineering and Sciences (BCES) Department is conducting a search to fill a faculty position in the area of neural engineering, with expertise in instrumentation, biomaterials / tissue engineering, or biomechanics. The BME Program is one of 12 programs in the newly formed BCES Department designed to provide research, educational synergies and collaborative opportunities for faculty in Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Programs. The BME Program currently offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering including a Premed track. The successful candidate is required to have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and a strong commitment to biomedical engineering related research and teaching. In addition, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, advice students at all levels, and establish a funded research program. Candidates at the ranks of Associate Professor should have a distinguished record of research and educational activities, as well as a strong funding history.
