Postdoctoral Fellowship: A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. The fellow will join a highly interactive and collaborative research team to study extracellular vesicles (exosomes and microvesicle) biogenesis and dynamics in the context of drugs of abuse and HIV infection. These topics will be investigated using innovative tools including a novel microfluidic model of the neurovascular unit, animal models of drug self-administration and a humanized HIV mouse model. Qualifications: The position requires that the applicant have one of the following degrees: a PhD or an MD by the time of employment with preferred research expertise in one or more of the following scientific areas: Immunology, behavioral neuroscience, drugs of abuse research and cellular/molecular biology. Candidates must be eligible to be supported by a T32 NIH award (US citizens or permanent residents). Candidates with direct expertise in working with microfluidics are also preferred. |
