Join an industry Leader!! For over 75 years, Terrazzo and Marble Supply (T&M) has been one the largest distributors of natural stone slab and tile, poured-in-place terrazzo, and quartz surfacing. We are looking for an A&D Rep to join our team. The ideal candidate would be based out of the Houston Area and responsible for that territory.
The A&D Rep will be assigned various architectural/interior design firms that are directly involved with the specification of commercial construction finishes. Specifically, the A&D Rep will be assigned accounts per territory with the objective of creating pull-thru marketing for T&M products. The A&D Rep’s role will not be limited only to these customers; but additionally new customers that the A&D Rep feels can increase specifications (& thus sales) of T&M’s outlined geographical territory and related divisions. Having experience selling interior finishes and established relationships with designers is preferred. Close relationships and continual contact with installing contractors will also be required.
Generate and develop new business to meet sales goals
Maintain and nurture existing client relationships with designers and contractors
Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
Prepare and present sales proposals
Plan and manage sales territory
Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and procedures to new and existing clients
Possess and maintain industry product knowledge
Continually gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed
Ensure that all required reports and paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact business unit
Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Proficient on contact management systems, database, Internet, order processing, spreadsheet and word processing
Additional Salary Information: Rep will receive a base salary (based upon experience) and a commission based on specifications generated by the A&D Rep. (Need to identify projects associated in order to track sales.)
