Provides planning, design, project management, and contract administration of various water and wastewater construction and engineering projects for the Authority. Primary responsibilities and duties include management of all phases of assigned projects from inception through project close out, including planning, budgeting, design, procurement/project delivery, permitting, construction, contract administration, and final acceptance. Working with the Division Director and Chief Engineer, the Engineering Project Manager will provide design and/or design assistance on assigned projects, oversee design by third–party engineering consultants; oversee and/or manage construction; and, coordinate activities with local jurisdictions, state and federal agencies, private businesses, contractors, consultants and others involved with Authority projects.

About Western Virginia Water Authority
The Western Virginia Water Authority was formed on July 1, 2004 when the water and wastewater operations of the City of Roanoke and Roanoke County consolidated. Five years later, on November 24, 2009, Franklin County officially joined the Western Virginia Water Authority and Botetourt County joined on July 1, 2015. The Authority now provides water service to over 59,000 customer accounts and wastewater service for more than 51,000 accounts in the City of Roanoke, Roanoke County, Franklin County and Botetourt County. The Authority also contracts to operate the water and wastewater systems for the Town of Fincastle.
