Supporting Process Engineering: You will work with the Process Development Laboratory Staff to configure power supplies and inductors for process experiments. You will conduct experiments and write reports on those experiments. You will learn metallurgy and applications associated with Induction Heating and support the process engineering staff in the Design of Experiments to support process feasibility demonstrations.
Developing and maintaining an expert knowledge of inductors used for induction heating and brazing/soldering, their properties, and limitations.
Develop and maintain expert knowledge and the ability to configure and run induction heating experiments and processes.
Working cooperatively with Sales and Engineering to assess and define equipment required to achieve Radyne and customer requirements.
Develop and maintain the ability to set up, develop scanner programs and run Radyne scanner equipment proficiently.
Developing new processes, supporting documentation, and the creation of new Radyne intellectual property.
Provide Sales with correct actionable information on process and design issues related to new opportunities and quotations.
Learn how to operate new Radyne equipment, assist with its debugging, and the development of induction heating processes that meet customer’s expectations and contract. As part of this activity, the Process Development Technician will be responsible for assisting with the customer run-off of said equipment, teaching the customer safe operation of the machine, and when requested to travel to the customer's facility to assist on-site equipment startup and training.
Cutting, mounting, polishing, and evaluating metallurgical samples to make sure that parts meet customer specifications and expectations.
Learn how to run and be capable of effectively using all the equipment in the metallurgical lab.
Manage Federal Fire Arms License for Radyne and follow ITAR Regulations.
Must be a US person -required to manage Federal Fire Arms (FFL) license and have knowledge of ITAR policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science
10 to 15 years of experience
Must have at least 5-7 years of experience with electromechanical and Induction heat treating.
Must maintain excellent troubleshooting skills
Must maintain good technical writing and oral communication skills.
Strong computer competency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Must maintain a valid driver’s license
High levels of motivation, organization, and ability to work as part of a team
Desire and ability to help lead change and excel career to the next level.
Travel up to 10%-25%
