Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an electrical engineer. Responsibilities include designing electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm /mass notification systems associated with industrial, public and/or commercial buildings; preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction; mentoring less experienced staff; and providing construction administration services related to electrical systems. Some travel may be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or architectural (with an electrical emphasis) engineering; AND at least four years of relevant experience (such as lighting, power distribution, fire detection and alarm systems, and/or electrical construction standards).
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: experience designing low and medium voltage power distribution, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems; experience preparing engineering and construction documents; familiarity/experience with: AutoCAD and/or Revit, AGI lighting software, SKM Power Tools and/or Easy Power software, MS Office; knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction. PE license or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire is considered a plus.
