Reporting to the City Engineer, the Civil Engineer directly participates in the planning, design and construction of streets; storm drainage, sanitary sewer and water projects; parks, site engineering and other public improvements; utilizes AutoCAD to produce various sanitary water, storm sewer and road plans for public and private projects within the City; computer modeling of utility systems, including drainage systems; conducts hydrologic/hydraulic analyses; performs water quality/quantity computations and evaluations; assists with preparation of comprehensive plans, including drainage, wetlands and other City facilities. Estimated hiring range is $81,619 to $83,970/yr. (Exempt), DOQ, plus benefits.
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of related civil engineering experience; or an equivalent combination. Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification. Requires a Professional Engineer License in MN, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
