Adecco Staffing is partnering with a reputable manufacturing facility in Peterborough, NH to hire Quality Engineers on 1st shift! This is a direct-hire opportunity. The position offers competitive pay rates and the opportunity to join a growing company.
Pay Rate: $70,000-$120,000 (annual salary) depending on experience and qualifications. Sign on bonus eligible, dependent on experience and skill level.
Schedules Available:
1st Shift Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm, OT availability
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing the technical quality knowledge and support required to maintain continuous improvement while ensuring that adherence to customer and internal requirements are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage risk assessments, analyze trends, and report quality data to top management. Perform data analysis as needed.
Perform root cause analysis, resolve non-conformance's, and initiate corrective actions. Report non-compliance and/or imminent risks to appropriate departments and/or leadership.
Perform FMEA, process maps and control plans.
Ensure efficient documentation of the QMS, procedures, and standards requirements.
Facilitate ISO 9001/AS9100 certification, customer, supplier, and other government or regulatory audits and visits.
Perform audits, internal or external to AS9100 and/or Nadcap standards.
Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure continual ability to meet company and contractual expectations, which are measured by defect rates, countermeasure and Corrective Action closure per plan, source inspection and on-site audit performed per plan
Monitor Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control programs and implement improvements.
Support APQP activities.
Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and achieve customer satisfaction.
Maintain employee training program (by scheduling, planning, leading, and documenting training activities. Train new employees and remains current with all guideline changes, work instructions, etc. Compiles data, provides feedback, and generates reports for operations and/or training areas on quality performance. Write or assist in writing desk procedures and training materials for departments.
Lead and participate in projects.
Review and monitor SPC system; report any issues to leadership.
Provide assistance with special projects such as testing for system changes, reviewing change requests, interpreting department workload, statistical reports, assisting co-workers, etc.
Ensure proper application of, and compliance with, internal and external standards, guidelines and procedures.
Coordinate with internal and external team members to implement or support ongoing processes.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of AS9100 and AS13100.
Proficient at blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation and tolerancing.
Highly self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills.
Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); ability to partner effectively with employees at all levels.
Strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, SolidWorks and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
Project management skills.
Ability to perform root cause corrective actions using industry standard quality tools.
Understanding of GDT.
Strong math skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability and willingness to effectively train new employees.
Requirements:
A four-year degree in engineering, science or a related field. Masters preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years' experience in quality engineering.
Six sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA experience preferred.
Aerospace experience preferred and most desired but not required
