Successful candidates will have an associate degree (or higher) in engineering or a related field from an accredited secondary institution plus at least eight years of relevant experience, OR, if no degree, must have at least ten years of relevant work experience.
Ideal candidates will have any/all of the following: more than ten years of relevant construction inspection experience; DOT inspector certifications (preferably SC); ICC and NICET certifications (special inspections, code inspections, and material testing for building construction); proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with any tasks such as data collection, quantity calculations, soil density testing; experience inspecting aspects of structural or highway projects such as concrete, floor level, masonry, asphalt, structural bolting/welding, foundations, accessibility, electrical systems, seismic restraints.
