We are currently seeking a Professional Engineer with experience leading a construction engineering and inspection team for public infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Construction Services Team Leader and will also be responsible for developing new business and for client relations for new and existing clients. Our current projects include highways, streets, light rail, commuter rail, drainage and utilities for state and local governments. Some of our major clients include TxDOT, NTTA, DART, NTMWD, City of Dallas, Trinity Metro and numerous other municipalities in Texas. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Supervise construction inspection, engineering design technicians and other technical staff
- Training, management, accountability and mentoring of Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CE&I) personnel.
- Develop and actively manage project management activities, such as project scope, schedule, budget and quality management.
- Financial reviews of projects, understanding of multipliers, overhead, profit.
- Overall financial performance of CE&I personnel.
- Establish priorities, work schedules and coordinates resource needs/assignments.
- Review and evaluate design and construction practices
- Responsible for the hiring, supervision, mentoring, professional development, evaluation and termination of CEI staff members
- Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications and plan preparation
- Initiate and maintain client relations in construction management and services
- Participate in Marketing pursuits writing scope approaches and Business Development
- Attend project meetings and work in a team environment or independently
- Facilitate meetings with internal staff and external clients
