CALYX Engineers and Consultants is seeking a full-time Land Development PE for our Cary, NC office. The PE will provide engineering and CAD design support to Project Managers on land development and utility projects. CAD design to include road, grading and utilities. The most frequent and essential work activities include:

• Provide all required engineering design and appropriate calculations for stormwater drainage, stormwater BMP, sanitary sewer, potable water, etc. of civil/site related projects.
• Provide technical support using AutoCAD/Civil 3D (preferred) or MicroStation/ GeoPak software for the design of civil/site related projects.
• Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.
• Coordinate work with other engineers, designers and technicians.
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented.
• Market CALYX by involvement in professional and civic organizations.
• Other special assignments as directed.

Prerequisites for employment include:

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 4 to 7 years of civil/site related work experience
• PE license
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop (preferred) or Microstation/GeoPak
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Valid driver’s license
