Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support and operational/business leadership for a converting system which consists of rewinding, sizing, wrapping, conveying and case packing equipment. Support and influence the operators to meet: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Reliability goals, with the emphasis on leading them to exceed these goals.
• Lead the team's day-to-day activities in delivering quality and productivity; satisfying customer orders and quality specifications, while increasing equipment efficiency and reducing all forms of waste.
• Optimize and coordinate weekly production planning with the scheduling of: trials, planned shutdowns, pre-shutdown inspections, capital installation plans, etc.
• Support the role of the Asset Availability Leader to drive improvements in reliability through Scheduled Shutdown Plans, Pre-shutdown Inspections and RCFA sessions.
• Support the role of the Operations Maintenance Gate Keeper to drive YOY cost improvement while maintaining the division in a safe operating manner.
• Business and Technical liaison between the Converting department, Engineering and the Corporate Business.
• Scrutinizing corporate proposals to assure alignment with the Crossett business plan.
• Drive the large project capital initiatives through the DMF process to keep Crossett on the forefront of investment for the future.
• Continuously improve the operation by teaming up with area leaders & process engineering to: evaluate, prioritize, and process all asset Improvement Ideas after providing feedback and encouragement to the originators of the ideas.
• Facilitate and coach Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to proactively troubleshoot opportunities using various lean manufacturing tools, such as FMEA, in the areas of: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Development.
• With a focus on Knowledge Management, accelerate the training and development of Operations and Maintenance.
• Support and participate in the daily reporting of accurate information to communicate to the Crossett hourly and management staff as well as the corporate staff.
• Facilitate implementation of a Reliability Centered Maintenance processes for top critical business lines.
• When necessary, the AAL, Optimizer and Gate Keeper will jointly develop new operating or maintenance procedures that will improve and sustain breakthroughs in productivity.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• BS in Engineering preferred.

Experience:
• A minimum of 7 years experience in consumer products packaged goods; with a minimum of 5 years of TissueRolled Converting experience required.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and technical troubleshooting skills
• SPC (Centerling, Performance Gap Analysis, Plan of Control) skills
• Knowledge of Tissue Rolled Converting process
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel, functional data bases and data analysis
• Strong communication, planning, organization and visionary skills
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills,
