Job Description
Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Engineering and Sciences

The Center for Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences (PECOS) at The University of Texas at Austin has openings for Post-Doctoral Scholars to develop computational methods and algorithms for verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification of computer models for predictive simulations of complex physical phenomena. We are looking for applicants with a solid background in numerical and functional analysis, discretization and theory of partial differential equations, scientific computing, and in at least one of the following topics: stochastic partial differential equations, statistics, probabilities, or inverse problems. Experiences in large-scale parallel code development, in C++, and in modern software engineering practices are also essential. Applicants must have a Doctorate in Engineering, in Applied Mathematics, or in any related field. This is a security sensitive position.
